An angel's face smiles to me... By the calm, tranquil, waters of the fountain, she sat. Her eyes were closed as she was swept away in deep thought. Dreamcatcher listened to her surroundings, but all she heard was the flow of the iridescent waters from the fountain. It was almost like a sanctuary, where nothing tainted could come and touch the waters. Though, she knew that was wrong, it was tainted, but pure, corrupted, but holy, an abomination, but cleansed, a contradiction upon itself for the fact that Nightmare come from it, and yet it brought the greatest of dreams to those who would sleep at night. Perhaps it was all part of the balance of things, you have to have dreams, and you have to have nightmares, that was just part of life, the good, the bad, they go hand in hand. Her staff was laying next to her, and she looked over to it before picking it up. Dreamcatcher held it in front of her to look at it. A sigh escaped her, what did this thing do---------------------------------------------Inventory--------------------------------------------- What could it do---------------------------------------------Inventory--------------------------------------------- All she knew was she felt a closeness to it, and all she knew was that it was just a fancy thing that drove darkness away, but that was it. There had to be something more to it.
Sitting it down next to her again, she stared to her reflection in the waters, it was distorted as the waters wavered in the fountain, but she could still see it. Dreamcatcher brushed away some of the black bangs that fell towards her eyes as she stared at the waters again, and once again took a far-away look upon her face. As usual, her head was up in the clouds. She had many things to think about, her mind was constantly coming up with something new, and going every which way. Perhaps she was day-dreaming about fighting Nightmare with her fellow Star Warriors and Galaxy Knights, or perhaps she was day-dreaming about a knight in shining armor coming to sweep her off of her feet, or perhaps she was day-dreaming about exploring a dark cave. Whatever it was, she was no longer here mentally.

As it turns out, there was another figure flying up in the skys. Not that he had the same motives as Dream though. Meta Knight's bat-like wings glided through the calm night sky as he made his daily rounds, scouring out the galaxy and doing his duty. He knew that Nightmare's creatures would not dare touch or destroy the fountain of dreams, as it was not only the star warriors' way of travel, it was their only way of traveling from planet to planet as well. The yellow eyes glowed slightly with triumph as Meta Knight thought about this; this was one victory that would always be ensured between both sides. Perhaps he was being too cocky; the eyes behind the mask narrowed slightly as this doubt came into mind. Could it be that Nightmare was devising a way of making a new vehicle, a vehicle that only demon beasts would be able to use ---------------------------------------------Inventory--------------------------------------------- If that was the case, then the battle would surely be turned in favore of Nightmare's army, no doubt that the demon beast creator would use that to his full advantage. That would be a problem for both the star warriors and Galaxy Knights, Meta Knight guessed. A soft sigh could be heard from above as Meta Knight circled around the one and only ancient fountain, his wings beating softly as he flew among the stars.

An angel's face smiles to me... A flash of movement caught her gaze, it was above her. Her ice blue eyes lifted up to see what it was. Instantly, it seemed as though time froze. To her, it was as though he had appeared out of a fairy tale. A knight in shining armor, just like in her day-dreams! She watched as the yellow-eyed Galaxy Knight was flying around above, like a dark but Heavenly being. The way the moon and the light of the fountain shined upon him only added to an almost holy glow around him, at least that was what it looked like in her eyes. Her first thoughts were to call to him, to get him to come and speak with her, but when she made to do so, her breath left her, and she found herself unable to utter a word. Her heart began to race, and it felt like she was melting into a puddle. At this point, Dreamcatcher was not even sure if she could stand. Unbeknown to her, the staff she held began to glow, as though serving as a beacon to call in the flying Knight. While she tried to get her breath back, and bring up the nerve to call to him. Just call to him Dreamcatcher, say his name! Say his name! The glow of the staff took her attention, and she looked to it before looking back up to Meta Knight, slowly standing up, "Hey!" She finally called, hoping to catch his attention, her free hand coming up to wave. Great! She got past the first step! Now if only she had the nerve to keep talking to him, and not sound like an idiot!

Meta Knight paused as a voice drifted up towards him, saying something that sounded like a greeting. The knight Stopped in midair, his bat-like wings propelling him gently in the air as he hovered there, his yellow eyes scanning the ground until he spotted who had called him. It seemed to be a star warrior; a white one too. Meta Knight's yellow eyes narrowed; had she been admiring the fountain as well ---------------------------------------------Inventory--------------------------------------------- Investigation seemed to be the best route to take with this, he decided at last. The blue cloak ruffled as the blue knight began his desent, the ends of his cloak trailing behind him. As he desended, his bat-like wings folded inwards until they were hidden by the dark blue cloak, and Meta Knight's glove-like hands grasped the edges of the cloak in a parachute-type way. Blue feet hit the ground as the Knight landed gently beside Dream, pausing to wrap his cloak around himself in his usual form as he spoke softly. " You called me---------------------------------------------Inventory--------------------------------------------- " He inquired.

An angel's face smiles to me... Oh no! Here he comes! No wait, that's what you wanted right---------------------------------------------Inventory--------------------------------------------- Right! No, she was freaking out. Again her breath left her as she watched him descend to land next to her. Perhaps he had no time to talk to her---------------------------------------------Inventory--------------------------------------------- He seemed like he was too busy. Oh, what was she to do!---------------------------------------------Inventory--------------------------------------------- As he spoke softly, it was a tone that was like music. Trying not to blush, but a light tint coming upon her white face, she nodded, "I...I did..." She said, as more heat began to rush to her face, but she tried her best to keep it down. Dreamcatcher became self-conscious about it, her ice blue eye sweeping to the ground, and looking at her feet. How did she become so smitten with this guy---------------------------------------------Inventory---------------------------------------------
Oh what to say next---------------------------------------------Inventory--------------------------------------------- What to say next---------------------------------------------Inventory--------------------------------------------- Oh right! She should tell him of her name! "M-my name is Dreamcatcher..." She managed to stutter. Her staff was still glowing with its yellow light. Perhaps it was reacting to her emotions, perhaps it was reacting to the fountain, whatever it was, that was all it was doing was just glowing. Hopefully he was not too busy and had time to make some small talk with a girl who was trying hard not to show the fact that she was attracted to him. Dreamcatcher's ice blue eyes rose up to look to him again, looking into his yellow eyes. She barley knew him, but right now, she wanted to get to know him. That was how things worked. If he was too busy, she would understand, but it was only a matter of time, she felt, before she would lose her cool.

Meta Knight smiled softly underneath his silver mask. The ends of his cloak moving ever so slightly as he watched the Star warrior talk. How nervous she looked! Perhaps talking a bit would ease her tension. Meta Knight wasn't fond of talking much, but he decided that this time would be an exception.
"Meta Knight." He spoke gently, his voice no louder than a breeze in the night; and the blue knight almost pondered the fact that Dreamcatcher hadn't heard it. Nevertheless, a white gloved hand peeked out of his cloak as he extended it towards her. "Nice to meet you." A gesture of greeting was the most he felt he could do; and the knight smiled inwardsly to himself again; somehow, this star warrior reminded him of Kirby when they had first met, and he had offered the same gesture to the star warrior. Now, he was doing the same to another star warrior. Time seemed to pass so quickly.

An angel's face smiles to me... She faintly heard his name, his voice was almost like a whisper, a spirit that was going to be there one moment, and gone the next. This was not the case, the knight was standing there in front of her. His hand stretched out, and she took a step closer to him, trying to still her pounding heart as she stretched out her own hand to shake with his gloved hand, "P-pleasure to meet you too...sir Meta Knight." She said to him. What was she to do after this---------------------------------------------Inventory--------------------------------------------- She could barely bring herself to speak with him. After shaking his hand, she drew her own back to her side and looked out to the fountain. If only it could give her some sort of guidance, but that was not what it was for. Dreamcatcher could only count her blessings that he had not mentioned the scar across her moon colored face in any way.
Looking back to him with her ice blue eyes, she thought of what to say now, "I apologize if I disturbed you..." She said, since he seemed to be concentrating on something earlier, or had she disturbed him at all---------------------------------------------Inventory--------------------------------------------- Either way, she kept her sheepish look on her face, and though her heart was beginning to calm itself, she still felt a twinge of nervousness around him. Why did she feel this way---------------------------------------------Inventory--------------------------------------------- Usually she was rather confident and felt she could speak to anyone, unless, she forgot her staff, like she did with Kirby. She glanced to the staff that was placed on the ground next to her, almost having forgotten it was there. Dreamcatcher moved over and picked it up again, turning back to Meta Knight and seeing what he would say or do next.

Meta Knight shook Dreamcatcher's hand, withdrawing his hand swiftly with no more as a faint ruffle of his cloak. " There's no need to be formal." He replied, hand appearing briefly to dismiss the subject. " Meta Knight is fine, no need to call me sir." The fact that Dreamcatcher had called him "sir" didn't bother Meta Knight much, though the title reminded him of the days he had spent at King Dedede's castle; a memory he would rather forget. His tone reflected none of what he was feeling inside, as he had tried to make it lighter to seem as if they were simply having a friendly conversation, which was where he felt that it was heading. The knight chuckled when Dreamcatcher mentioned disturbing him; even he knew that this was not the case, just the fact that it was a necessary duty to preform every day. " Not at all." He assured her. " I was simply observing the fountain, making sure that none of Nightmare's army had decided to damage it in some way." Even so, Meta Knight had to admit that he had not been fully absorbed in the task at hand, as he felt that the fountain always captivated him in some way that he could never quite comprehend. His yellow eyes strayed to Dreamcatcher's staff as she picked it up, and Meta Knight couldn't shake the feeling that it was something quite special, though he had seen many star warriors with their own form of weapons, this was like no other one that he had seen before. The commanders all had very strange weapons indeed, and Meta Knight recalled the slight glow he had noticed just seconds before the star warrior had called out to him; was it possible that the source of that glow had come from the staff ---------------------------------------------Inventory--------------------------------------------- " That staff..." He began slowly, not wishing to arouse suspicion of any sort. " It had an interesting design to it. Would you mind me asking where you aquired it from---------------------------------------------Inventory--------------------------------------------- " It was stilll confusing as to why he would be drawn to the staff in such a way, but whatever it was that interested him, Meta Knight knew that he wouldn't find out the answer unless he listened its origins.

An angel's face smiles to me... She nodded when she heard him ask her to call him just Meta Knight, "Y-yes sir Meta Knight sir-I mean! Meta Kight." She said as she felt a slight flush of red take over her pale colored face again. There was no hiding the blush this time, though she still looked to the ground to show her slight disdain. It brought a little relief that she had not disturbed him, and that he was simply patrolling around the fountain to make sure Nightmare or his goons had not tried to corrupt it. She nodded, "I was here because I like being by this fountain. It's so peaceful here." She said, having to admit the serenity and security she felt while around the ancient Fountain of Dreams.
It was then he had asked about her staff. Looking to it, she thought of the staff's origins and was silent for a moment as she reflected on what had happened for her to take it. "I got it from my home planet...it was all that was left when it...and my parents...were destroyed." She explained, staring solemnly at it. "I do not know what sort of power it holds, or how it managed to not be destroyed like everything else, but it was laying in the ruins of what was once my home, as though it were waiting for me to find it." She said, before trying to wipe the solemn, almost mournful, look off of her face. The staff seemed to react to her again as it began to glow a little, but it was a dull glow, "I can't even figure out how to make it glow like that, or what else it can do. Right now, it just lights the way in the dark."

META KNIGHTThe Dark Knight
He didn't like to show his feelings much, but even had to admit that he was curious of the blush. Was he making her feel somewhat unconfortable, despite his tone---------------------------------------------Inventory--------------------------------------------- Perhaps the questions that he had been asking were the problem in this type of situation, and he was only then conscious of the fact that perhaps asking about the staff wasn't the best idea. He narrowed his eyes at the thought. The staff did radiate a mysterious power, and he was prepared to face any consequences that came with asking about such, but he hadn't ever been one to want to hurt others' feelings. Still, he could only wait for an answer, he supposed.
"I'm sorry to hear that." He murmured at her explanation of the staff's origins, knowing that many of the recruits that were in the Galaxy knights carried the same burden with them. However, the main difference that made Dreamcatcher stand out from the rest was still that staff. The fact that it had survived the destruction of an entire planet, as well as been able to come into Dreamcatcher's possession in such a manner. It only added on to the theory that it was no ordinary staff. Far from ordinary.
He watched as it began to glow, and took in Dreamcatcher's words thoughtfully, trying to guess just what it was that could have caused it to glow in such a manner. "Perhaps it has something to do with your emotions." He suggested. "If you shift from one emotion to the other rapidly, it glows. Has it ever had any attack potential at times---------------------------------------------Inventory--------------------------------------------- " Perhaps when she was angry---------------------------------------------Inventory---------------------------------------------
ooc: I really don't like this post. >.< Trying to shift back into the Kirby rping, bear with me for the moment plz.

Where castles in the air will be, no longer seen... She thought about it, looking to the staff. It was almost like it was trying to tell her and eventually she could only shake her head, "Not that I remember." She responded. Although, it may have protected her the day the Guardian came and attacked her home planet. Her blue eyes glanced to it again before glancing to Meta Knight, "I have noticed it seems to react to my change in emotions...perhaps you are thinking what I am thinking---------------------------------------------Inventory--------------------------------------------- " She asked, the topic of the staff distracting her from the paralyzing nervousness she felt around Meta Knight earlier. The white Star Warrior looked to the staff as the light was shining a little more now, and she wondered what sorts of powers it held in it. There was no doubt it was special, and perhaps only time would tell if it was really powerful or something meaningful.

META KNIGHTThe Dark Knight
He frowned behind his mask as she responded, though it was hidden by the thick mask. His eyes still remained unchanged as he mused over what it might have meant. Had she ever felt angry before---------------------------------------------Inventory--------------------------------------------- The only time that he could actually imagine all star warriors to feel angry was when their hometown had been destroyed by Nightmare, perhaps.
"...perhaps you are thinking what I am thinking---------------------------------------------Inventory--------------------------------------------- " Good question; was he thinking what she was thinking, and vice versa---------------------------------------------Inventory--------------------------------------------- He could ask, that was always the best way to approach things. "Perhaps." He paused. "I was thinking that perhaps, positive emotions cause your staff to light up. If that is correct, then there should be a different effect for negative emotions." Not that he really knew what positive emotions had on the staff other than lighting it up, but there was the effect of using it as a flashlight. Nightmare craved on Darkness, after all. "So I was thinking that...perhaps, in time of anger, there is the potential to release an attack from that staff. Is that what you were thinking---------------------------------------------Inventory--------------------------------------------- " Wether it be unconciously or consciously, as long as they knew what the trigger was, there would be the opportunity to learn how to hone that skill.

Where castles in the air will be, no longer seen... The only time she had felt anger was when the Guardian had been attacking her home planet. She had gone to valiantly fight him, but knew nothing after feeling something hit her, "Perhaps I have, but just don't remember." She said, it was somewhat of an over-used lie. The fact was, she was not ready to talk about her past with him yet. She remembered well the rage she felt when she went up against the Guardian, the fire that burned deep within her to try to stop him from doing anymore damage, and she remembered the sorrow she felt when she woke up among the ruins of what was once her beloved home and saw everything she knew was gone. Inside, she felt she had failed, and was trying to come to terms with it but one thing she knew was that Nightmare had to go down.
The white Star Warrior listened to what Meta Knight had to say. Every word was captured in her mind. Really, she found herself just liking to listen to his voice, but not Nightmare, nor Kirby, nor King DeDeDe himself could get her to admit that, at least not yet. She nodded when he spoke about the emotions affecting the staff, "Perhaps you are right. The only way to test it out is to go into battle..." She said, or perhaps the two could spar there in order to try to stir her up enough in order to get the staff to do something besides glowing. While that was useful in itself, it was not much helpful against some of the more aggressive of the Demon Beasts, and she had seen some of the best.
